She is beauty defined, by the grace of her emotional intelligence
The elegance of her word choices brings my guards down
The round of her genuine smile warms my perception intently, ever so gently amplified by her soft dimples
Can it all be this simple, how she asserts her heart in her regal speech
With a reach that aims to connect, while remain intact with self-respect
Who never seeks to breach by an overstep of boundaries
For she built her own to let people in, not to keep them out
To welcome me in is an honor and a privilege
So, I'm persistent in my attention to detail, matching her affection with honesty
Honestly, with no intention to receive but to reciprocate, this here is the after anticipation
Where the placement of our words dance in rhythm to attraction
The fact is...our black is beautiful
As our dark chocolate and brown caramel curls into mocha, coffee, cinnamon swirls
Leaving us stirred in a twirl of awes, this world is ours with the exchange of fluid conversation
Art-ticulation, stimulation deeper than what's behind our clothes
We show our spirits, expose our minds
The time of our lives encapsulated in fleeting moments
Focused and cherished, we are present in discussion of our likes and dislikes
Careers and fears, how the two correlate, what self-care practices we participate?
Views on family, what is our motives? Our favorite emotional response?
What God we trust, or do we leave that to luck? What do we hope to put behind us?
Does our platonics match up? If so...could there be an us?
Whatever ends up from this experience, I am pleased I was able to receive, and I was able to give
This will live in my mind rent free, for it's scenes as these that keep us alive
As rising grand aspirations to falling subtle palpitations
No matter the sex you be, regardless of what tongue you speak
By our love for this event occurred, she and I concur
