There is no shame in simply walking away from a person or situation that is triggering you and you don't have the bandwidth to dodge, repel, or transmute. Knowing yourself is about knowing what you can and can not do, whether for a moment or extended period of time. You are thinking for yourself and for those involved. Sometimes, also, you must walk away WITHOUT explaining, especially if they would not innerstand your position. I'd rather the silence speak for me than to allow myself to be taken to a place where my words will not empower me or the situation at hand.
